Scout Skills Day

Scout Skills Day is an annual weekend event held at a local site (often Curtis Park in Caldwell or Celebration Park in Melba) to introduce our Cubs to routine family camping and outdoor skills.

In cooperation with our Scouts BSA Troops 255B & 255G, the Cubs have the opportunity to work through a series of stations, for example:

  • Knots and Lashings
  • Obstacle Course
  • Wildlife Refuge in a Box
  • Nature Walkabout & Bingo
  • Leave No Trace Model Campsite
  • Stomp Rockets
  • Amateur (Ham) Radio
  • Flag Etiquette
  • Highline/Trapeeze
  • Monkey Bridge
  • Orienteering
  • Closed Compass Course
